If you want exclusivity without the price and crowds of the Maldives, yes. São Tomé and Príncipe offers almost deserted beaches and secluded luxury resorts, with a direct flight from Lisbon and without the usual Maldives prices of over €4,000–5,000 per person. And think about it: you have just got married, the party was beautiful and you can feel the tiredness. São Tomé is about 6h30 by direct flight, with no time difference — you arrive and start your honeymoon straight away, with no jet lag.

Zanzibar is already a widely known honeymoon destination, with resorts that are increasingly busy. São Tomé and Príncipe offers a similar experience — beaches, African culture, tropical nature — but still as a destination to discover, with far fewer tourists.

The Seychelles are an established destination, but with high prices and longer, more expensive flights from Portugal. São Tomé and Príncipe has a direct flight from Lisbon, resorts with the same level of exclusivity and a final price that is usually lower.

Yes. There is a departure on 14 February 2027, for those who want to start their honeymoon on Valentine's Day. As the trip is private, just for the couple, we can also book it for whatever date suits you after the wedding, depending on flight and hotel availability.

Yes. We can add nights on Príncipe Island or in São Tomé, a private dinner by the sea, a couples massage or room decoration for your arrival. Tell us what you have in mind and we will have everything ready before you arrive.

A typical local meal costs under €15 per person: grilled octopus, peixe-azeite or croaker, massada with grouper, arroz à moda da terra (rice the local way) or tuna. Grouper (cherne), the island’s most prized fish, costs over €15 per person. These are the everyday dishes, as Sao Tome cooking is mostly fresh fish. Meat is available too, but most of it is imported: if it matters to you, let us know in advance and we will arrange it.

Drinks are not included on our tours, except on a few special trips such as Christmas or the New Year’s Eve dinner. They are cheap: the local Rosema beer costs about 25 dobras (around €1) in many places, and 75 dobras or more in hotels, just over €3.
