Check in at Lisbon Airport for boarding formalities on the scheduled flight to São Tomé and Príncipe. On arrival, you'll be welcomed by our local guide and transferred straight to the hotel, with assistance on your first day to exchange euros for dobras. This trip works as a solo getaway, a couple's escape, a family holiday, a group of friends or a corporate trip — travelling solo or as a couple, your guide will be waiting for you at São Tomé Airport; travelling in a group, everyone meets at Lisbon Airport beforehand. Accommodation: Sweet Guest House. Meals: breakfast included.
We cross the island south along the so-called Coconut Route, a day full of surprises. First stop at the mouth of the Abade River, known as the world's largest open-air laundry, where hundreds of women hand-wash clothes — a genuine step back in time. Next, Roça Água Izé, tied to the story of a visionary São Toméan who left an unforgettable legacy to the country. A coconut-water break follows at the geological landmark of Boca do Inferno, a must-see stop, before dense forest and volcanic scenery lead to the Pico Cão Grande viewpoint and the Malanza River — this is what paradise really looks like. Arrival at Eco Resort Inhame, the only hotel in the south with essential comforts, some 20 metres from a sea between 27°C and 29°C. Accommodation: Ecolodge Praia Inhame. Meals: breakfast included, lunch on your own.
After breakfast, a boat crossing to Ilhéu das Rolas, at the island's typical leve-leve (easy-going) pace, across the warm waters of the Gulf of Guinea. This day is dedicated to exploring the islet — including the rare chance to stand in both of the Earth's hemispheres at once, at the Equator Marker built at the request of Admiral Gago Coutinho. Return to the hotel at the arranged time. (Optional: lunch at a simple restaurant on the islet, based on grilled fish and octopus, around €15 — book with your guide one day ahead.) Accommodation: Ecolodge Praia Inhame. Meals: breakfast and dinner included.
A full free day to rest, enjoy the beach by the Ecolodge Praia Inhame, or simply do nothing at all — that's part of the São Tomé experience too. Accommodation: Ecolodge Praia Inhame. Meals: breakfast included.
A morning dedicated to a deeper look at the island's agricultural traditions, with an enjoyable walk to the famous Praia Piscina. Accommodation: Ecolodge Praia Inhame. Meals: breakfast included.
Another free day to rest, at the unhurried leve-leve pace that defines São Tomé and Príncipe. Accommodation: Ecolodge Praia Inhame. Meals: breakfast included.
We begin the journey back to the capital, stopping at some of the island's most beautiful spots — including the Rio Cauê viewpoint and a hidden beach where the waters reflect the towering Pico Cão Grande. (Optional: lunch at Roça S. J. Angolares, with chef João Carlos Silva, known from the TV show 'Na Roça com os Tachos' — book in advance with your guide.) We continue on to the city of São Tomé. Accommodation: Sweet Guest House. Meals: breakfast included.
A free day with breakfast at the hotel, to explore the city at your own pace — the market, the seafront, Fort São Sebastião and the colonial streets. At 5:00 PM, transfer to the airport for your return flight. Accommodation: Sweet Guest House (until transfer time). Meals: breakfast included.
On a comfortable overnight flight, arrival in Lisbon is scheduled for around 5:30 AM — heading home with the memories of an unforgettable adventure on some of Africa's best-kept island secrets. End of our services.

Frequently asked questions
TAP flies to São Tomé four times a week, but the direct flight only operates on Saturdays — on other days there's a technical stop in Accra, Ghana, with no need to leave the plane, lasting around 1 hour. This last-minute package is designed to depart on a Saturday, so the direct connection is always guaranteed.
It depends on your nationality — many travellers, including EU citizens, are exempt from a visa for tourist stays of up to 15 days, provided their passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. This trip departs from Lisbon, so most travellers will need to make their own way there first.
No vaccine is mandatory for travellers arriving directly from Portugal. Even so, this package includes a pre-departure travel medicine consultation, where the need for malaria prophylaxis and routine vaccine boosters is assessed.
It's the only hotel in the south of the island with essential comforts — a simple, genuine eco-resort set in nature, about 20 metres from a sea that sits between 27°C and 29°C. The bungalows have no hairdryer, and hot water is only available from 6 to 9 PM. In exchange, the location and the experience are truly one of a kind.
This trip is designed for every kind of traveller — solo, as a couple, with family, with a group of friends, or for corporate trips. Travelling solo or as a couple, our guide will be waiting for you at São Tomé Airport; travelling in a group, everyone meets beforehand at Lisbon Airport.

A typical local meal costs under €15 per person: grilled octopus, peixe-azeite or croaker, massada with grouper, arroz à moda da terra (rice the local way) or tuna. Grouper (cherne), the island’s most prized fish, costs over €15 per person. These are the everyday dishes, as Sao Tome cooking is mostly fresh fish. Meat is available too, but most of it is imported: if it matters to you, let us know in advance and we will arrange it.
Drinks are not included on our tours, except on a few special trips such as Christmas or the New Year’s Eve dinner. They are cheap: the local Rosema beer costs about 25 dobras (around €1) in many places, and 75 dobras or more in hotels, just over €3.
